The term is in full swing and next week we start the first of our statutory assessments. Our year 6 SATS tests.

I want to take the opportunity to say, how proud I am of all the children, their hard work and determination. I know they will give their all and work their socks off next week.

Remember there is free breakfast for all year 6 pupils next week- 8am!

Since we have introduced our new Behaviour and Ethos policy we have seen improved behaviour across the school. The children are enjoying Team Time, every Friday afternoon and missed breaktime and lunchtime are minimal. Pupils are clearly motivated by our new system.

If you have any feedback, we would be happy to hear it.

Please email me- jfellowes@abbeysprimary.org

Miss K Proctor and the Wellbeing Club have been very busy this week painting pebbles to cheer us up on a rainy day!

Hopefully, we will see some of these laying around outside.

Woburn class has been very busy in Art this week. They have been using water colours to create a background wash for their castle images! Well done everyone. And you will get to see a real castle next week on your trip to Warwick!

A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to our girls' football team. They won their game last week with goals from Georgie, Aisha and Nova.

The competition was extremely tough.... they even beat an experienced year 6 squad!

Well done girls!

And you Mr Godfrey!

'I'd like to send a shout-out for Miss Laura Proctor please. She works closely with our little boy and he always has nice things to say about her.

She is amazing at hand-overs and we feel she likes working with him, which makes all the difference to us.

He's had one of the best terms so far this year! We're so grateful to all the staff and the adjustments, activities and support they have put in place to accomplish this!'

Well done to Isabel [Year 6] for learning how to canter on her dad's horse.

He's a big 17.2 ex-hunter and she has managed brilliantly with the transition from pony to horse.

Congratulations to Paige Freed. She has just been promoted in gymnastics. She's been working so hard and is now going to be training 3 times a week in the competition squad. Well done Paige.

Our Family Fun day is going to be fantastic and we have so many things for you to take part in.

Please make sure you put the posters in your windows to advertise the event for all to see!

If you haven't already, please vote for Abbeys. We have been shortlisted in the MK Inspiration awards and we are competing against some huge schools! So every vote counts!

Important reminders

  • When you book a session on Parentpay for Wrap or Breakfast club you need to select the day. If you don't select the day, we can see that you have booked but not what day your child is attending. This may cause confusion.

  • Despite lots of reminders, there are still many children not being collected on time at 3.15pm. Please remember that you will be charged £3 for late collection and your child will have to go to Wrap Club.

  • Parking- I take at least one phone call a week from angry residents regarding the parking of Parents/ Carers outside the school. Please be more considerate at drop off and collection times- this will help me out greatly!

HAVE A LOVELY WEEKEND EVERYONE
