Well that's a wrap! The last two weeks have been hectic but magical in school, with the carol concert, Christmas fair, nativities and this week 'Christmas book week'.

A huge thank you to all the staff who have gone above and beyond this term.

I hope you have a lovely holiday and look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday 6th January!

Today we say farewell [for a short time] to Mrs Warburton and Miss Proctor who are both going to have their babies in the new year! We wish you both all the luck in the world and encourage you to cherish every moment!

Miss Sadia is also getting married over Christmas. We wish you all the very best MIss Sadia- exciting times ahead! Congratualtions to you both.

Thanks to everyone who came along to our Christmas Fair. With the help of the PTA and the staff, we raised over £1200 for new school resources. This will make a huge difference to our library and book collections! Thanks everyone.

Also a huge SHOUTOUT to Mr Ayres and the choir. So many people have been to see me about the choir and how great they were at the church last week. The carol concert really gets you in the spirit of Christmas- so thank you everyone!

A huge congratulations to Daniela Rusu in year 6! She designed a wonderful Christmas card for the school, winning the house trophy for the yellow house!

I am also pleased to say that Daniela's design won Callum Anderson, MP for Bletchley and Buckingham's card competition- what an amazing achievement! Your card will be sent to many people across the county!

Hugo and Harvey were close runners up! Well done to all the children who took part!

Foundation Stage have been making robins using a range of different materials to support the understanding and retelling of their Christmas book week story “Robin Red Vest”.

This week in English, Woburn have been writing stories and designing new vests for the robin in our Christmas book 'Little Robin Red Vest' by Jan Fearnley.

Our year 3/4/5/6 girls absolutely smashed their tournament last Friday! They reached the semi-final but sadly lost to the winners of the tournament. They should be super proud of themselves, giving 100% effort in a tough competition.

We have had a few naughty elves in school this year. Bradwell’s Elf has been up to so much mischief! Eating the advent calendar chocolates, drawing on Mrs Brown’s face, turning everything upside down!

To end the year, Miss Burton mugged Mrs Ayres in the office for being the most  friendly and welcoming lady in Abbeys' team.

And I couldn't agree more... well done Mrs Ayres.

Well done to David, he achieved a Certificate of Recognition for the “Team player” award at football.

Here’s what the certificate says: 'He puts everything into training sessions and matches. He pushes the team forward with his drive and passion!'

Well done David!

Below- David and Maria at karate’s Tiska grades- they have both moved from red to orange. Well done children!

Many thanks to the staff for their responsiveness, care, and commitment to ensuring children feel supported and able to achieve their best. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Andra

We'd like to do a shout out to Miss Henry!

We think she's fantastic, Charlotte loves her to bits and you can clearly see how much she loves being there and really does care and nurture the children!

Shoutout to Rowan for playing his first match with his football team.

Not only is he playing up a year but also scored his first ever goal!

Amazing Rowan- well done!

Well done to Willow, who has just started gymnastics and is already doing amazingly.  She continues to teach herself new things every day!

Well done Willow!

A huge SHOUTOUT to Kaisan who walked out as a mascot for the Newport Pagnell first team at the weekend. He was absolutely buzzing!
A huge responsibility Kaisan- well done!

Thank you to all the staff at Abbeys. It's been a long term and you all deserve for your feet to be up and resting!

Couldn't ask for more supportive and caring team!

After a series of competitions at the end of November & early December, Jack has been selected to take part in the Bucks county Sports hall athletics competition for Under 9s (Years 3/4) in early February 2026.
This is a competition is for athletes across the whole county from schools and clubs, so he has done so well as a 7-year-old in the Under 9s category!

Well done Jack!

SHOUTOUT to Noah who has put in the hard work at kickboxing and got his new grading belt this week. He always puts in 100% effort.

We are all proud of you Noah!

Thank you to everyone that works so hard in the hive. It's a scary thing sending your non-verbal child into school, but I know that when they are with the fabulous hive team, they are in safe hands. Thank you for everything that you do and all the opportunities you provide for them.

Thank you to the wonderful Mrs Louis-White who has helped me so much with Max this year. You have been amazing, and Max and I wouldn't be where we are without all of your help, guidance, and patience!

A VERY BIG SHOUTOUT TO ALL THE TEACHERS!

THEY HAVE DONE AMAZING LOOKING AFTER ALL THE CHILDREN.

THANK YOU

A SHOUTOUT TO OSCAR FOR BEING VERY BRAVE WHEN IN HOSPITAL AND UNDERSTANDING THAT MUM HAD TO SPLIT HERSELF IN TWO WHEN HIS BABY BROTHER WAS IN HOSPITAL AT THE SAME TIME.

Well done Oscar!

I want to give a shoutout to my fellow PTA members. Mel, Simon, Elena, Emma, Kimberly, Shayler, Jenn, Olivia and Leesa. I have loved working alongside them during 2025 and I can't wait for 2026. Thank you for always going along with my random ideas and millions of texts!  Also a massive thank you to Miss Gregory, the PTA couldn't do what they do without your help! Always a smiling face at the gates in the morning, on the playground, and throughout the school.  Jo H

Logan has successfully passed his blue belt in kickboxing! I don't know who was more nervous, me or him!

But the little legend that he is stepped up and did us proud, coming away with a new belt and a grade of B-. Black belt is only three belts away...

SHOUTOUT to Charlie- He spent hours on this realistic rainforest structure as part of his home learning project.
He checked every detail and worked so hard.
He also created a sheet to encourage the stop to deforestation to go with it.

The ladies in reception are total legends! Every time I see them or speak with them on the phone, they are always so welcoming and helpful. I really appreciate all the hard work that they do.

To everyone at Abbeys who works so hard throughout the year - the teachers, TA's, office staff, kitchen staff, lunch time staff, and anyone I've missed out - just a massive massive thank you. You all work so hard and it doesn't go unnoticed.

I just wanted to say thank you to all the Key stage 1 teachers and helpers for an AMAZING nativity.
So much hard work and care goes into the performances and it doesn’t go unnoticed.
The staff really do love and care for the children at Abbeys like their own.

I would like to SHOUTOUT Mr Ayres for being so resilient and a pro-active with Rio.

Rio has nothing but good things to say about him and enjoys that he is there supporting him and in his words “helps him be a good boy”. So thank you for bringing the best out in Rio!

SHOUTOUT to Cate and Keryn in the Kitchen for the amazing Christmas lunch they made for the children. Feeding the 300, went very smoothly considering everything. Well done all.
