West Bletchley Carnival 2017

The Good Ol’ Days

After many hours of brainstorming with the children we decided on our theme for our Carnival – A Edwardian Circus!

We were lucky enough to be selected for a three-day workshop with Festive Road in which the children designed and made all their own props. The children made a train and carriages from scratch using willow stick, paper and glue, they then painted them with wonderfully bright festive colours. Finally, the children designed their T shirts and head pieces.

The result an amazing circus with animals (elephants, giraffes and tigers) ring masters, clowns, trapeze artists, mime artists, strong man, the bearded lady and many, many more. The big top also put in an appearance at the front of the parade.

The children had a fantastic time designing their float and them participating in the carnival on Saturday 10th June 2017. A big thank you to Karen and Alison from Tesco’s for helping us with the float.

Well Done Abbeys!
